J.S. Bach Birthday Concert

Organist Nathan Laube Captivates St. Cecilia Audience

World-renowned organist Nathan Laube beguiled some 350 attendees at the March 17, 2024 concert with some of the most notable Bach works for organ. The pieces ranged from a transcription of a deceptively light Francois Couperin aria to some of the more heavyweight pieces from the composer's own work, including the Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor and the Passacaglia.

In a conversation prior to the concert, Mr. Laube spoke highly of The St. Cecilia Martin Pasi Opus 14 organ, and mentioned that he was eagerly looking forward to performing on the recently revoiced instrument.
